Tablet Press Options

The Powder Compaction Simulator may be configured according to requirements and budget with the following options:

• Powder Hopper Options:
  
  Gravity Hopper with a lid and a shutter mechanism, for filling off the machine. A controllable stirrer may be added for poor flowing powders.
   
  Paddle Wheel Hopper for a closer simulation of a production press. Speed and duration of stirring is programmable.

Electrical hopper drive: for accurately synchronised hopper movements

• Tablet collection carousel: with indexing motor. Fully programmable collection in numbered slots, or immediate output for measurement.
   
• “Push Off Loadcell”: to measure tablet push-off forces. Programmable speed for true press simulation.
   
• Instrumented die: fitted with die wall pressure transducers. Small diameter transducers study powder characteristics and effects of geometry.
  
• Temperature Controlled Die: for non-ambient tests. Test true high speed press conditions, or perform cold tests on low melting point compounds.
  
• Temperature Controlled Upper Punch: option to simulate real press temperatures.
  
• Temperature Instrumented Punch: for compaction temperature measurement inside the tablet.
  
• Calibration equipment

• Ambient temperature and humidity measurement.
• Inputs for external measuring devices
• Special data analysis requirements
